The K-5 Scholastic Book Fair is Monday, April 7 - Friday, April 11. Students will be given $50 to spend on books during the book fair from a grant written by Mr. Schuler to promote literacy and encourage students to grow their home library. Students will be given an opportunity to shop during school hours. If parents would like to shop at the book fair, they may come during public library hours. Monday and Tuesday after school from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

The K-5 building appreciates Mrs. West and Mrs. Dunaway for all of their hard work helping our students succeed! We appreciate you, not just today, but everyday of the school year!

K-3 Bobcat Families:

https://iditarod.com/race/2025/standings/
Our K-5 students and teachers follow the Iditarod each year. Thank you, Miss Wood! This year's race began with 33 mushers and 22 finished. Congratulations goes to Mrs. Stephens for Jessie Holmes's first place win of the 53rd running of the Iditarod race. He and his team traveled 1,128 miles in 10 days, 14 hours, and 55 minutes. He had 10 dogs in harness when he reached Nome. He won $57,200 along with several awards being given to the first musher at specific checkpoints. Musher Jenny Roddewig (Mrs. Roadarmel's class) scratched yesterday at the White Mountain Checkpoint. This opened the door for Ebbe Pedersen to become the Red Lantern Award winner being the last Mush to finish the race.

JH Girls Summer Basketball
Girls Summer Basketball 2025
Beecher City / Cowden- Herrick
Next Year’s 6th-8th Graders
We are excited to get summer basketball going for Jr. High Girls. We want to make sure we have the numbers/interest to sign up for some tournaments. We will have a parent meeting once we see how many girls are interested. The cost of each tournament will be divided among the players and will be determined at the time of registry for each tournament. It will NOT be mandatory to play in any/all tournaments, however if you sign up for a tournament you will need to pay your share. We realize summer can be a very busy time so we would like to start scheduling now. The only date set for right now is June 11th and we have two other tournaments that we are waiting on dates. We will start a group text to stay informed on practices and tournaments. Signing this form is to get an idea of who might be interested. You will be able to choose the dates that work for you and your family. If you're not interested in tournaments but still want to be involved in open gym or practice, we will still need you to sign the form. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Thanks,
